From April 15 to 19, 2016, the 119th China Import and Export Fair was grandly held in Guangdong Province. Wang Changhong and Zhang Jing, sales representatives from the Foreign Trade Department of Jianzhi Electric Porcelain & Steel Cap Co., Ltd., attended the fair on behalf of Jianzhi Group. The China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, is held twice a year—in spring and autumn—in Guangzhou. With a history spanning 59 years, it is currently China’s longest-running, highest-level, largest-scale, most comprehensive international trade event, boasting the widest variety of products, the greatest number of attending buyers from the broadest range of countries and regions, the best transaction outcomes, and the strongest reputation. Exhibition Highlights The primary objectives of this participation were to meet with existing customers and deepen cooperation, while also establishing new business relationships to expand our international market presence. In addition, we engaged in exchanges with domestic industry peers to enhance Jianzhi Electric Porcelain & Steel Cap’s influence and brand recognition both at home and abroad. Traditionally regarded as a “barometer” of China’s trade, the Canton Fair showed signs of recovery already in its first session this year. Statistical data indicate that the number of attending buyers from Asia, the Americas, and Africa reached 55,559, 13,308, and 9,355, respectively—up 5.33%, 21.98%, and 3.71% from last autumn’s fair. Oceania saw 2,970 attendees, an increase of 5.62%, while the United States recorded 3,953 visitors, up 4.83%. Europe experienced a slight decline, with 12,636 attendees, down 6.44% from the previous session.
